5,000 Miles To Stop SAM

Stop SAM RV

It all started with a man living with his wife and two sons in Southern California. Luke Mysse has been in the marketing and branding industry for almost 17 years and late last year, he decided to give it all up and devote his life to raising awareness for SAM (Severe Acute Malnutrition).

To anyone, this seems like a noble feat and honestly, a fairly large one to dedicate your time and life efforts to. Nonetheless, due to a personal drive and conviction alongside with a support system comprised of close family and friends, Luke Mysse decided to embark on a 5,000 mile journey from San Diego, CA to upstate New York in hopes of exposing the SAM epidemic.

Luke started this daunting ride on June 20th, 2014 and from the very start he wasn't alone. Almost every day, he's joined by local cyclists who carry the same passion for awareness that he does, allowing this journey to accumulate momentum with every city it's passed through.

It's estimated the trip will take approximately 90 days in its entirety. After the ride to the coast is complete, Luke will be making frequent stops to speak about how people can contribute to helping treat SAM. Mind you, he will be driving on his way back (God knows he deserves it). Find out how you can donate and hlep Cylce Cause's campaign to Stop SAM. I encourage you to take a few minutes and watch the mission statement video, as it gives a precise game plan and method of treatment.

Founder of STOP SAM

Luke is co-founder of Cycle Cause, the platform used in reaching to the masses and allowing funding to make all of this possible. Cycle Cause simultaneously creates a network of cyclists from across the US to join together and push efforts that would not be possible with only a handful of people.
